Abstract :
A novel multiband monopole antenna for LTE/WWAN operation in the tablet computer is proposed. The antenna comprises an inverted L-shaped monopole, parasitic shorted strip. And, the obtained impedance bandwidth across the operating bands can reach about 255 / 980 MHz for the LTE / WWAN bands, respectively. The measured peak gains and radiation efficiencies are about 2.5 / 3.0 dBi and 88 / 85 % for the LTE / WWAN bands, respectively.
