Abstract :
While the number of available solutions for PLC communication systems for the low voltage grid is growing, there is still a lack of knowledge concerning actual channel properties of the grid in the A-band specified by EN 50065. In this paper a measurement procedure for obtaining channel characteristics taking into account the distinct properties of the low voltage grid is introduced and results of a measurement campaign based on the proposed method are discussed.
