Abstract :
In any electrical utility, generally the lowest level of sub-transmission network, the one that finally feeds the Distribution transformer, is generally the most neglected part. If at all it is discussed, it is for metering. This paper provides novel approach of using self-power, maintenance-free protection for automation scheme for such scenario.
