Abstract
The paper gives a brief overview of Bielefeld University´s newly established excellence cluster on cognitive interaction technology (CITEC) and its research agenda. Focusing on the area of Situated Communication some more details will be provided relating cognitive interaction technology to humans, robots, and the virtually embodied agent Max.
