Abstract :
Pulse time modulation (PTM) subcarriers have been extensively studied for optical transmission of analog signals. PTM subcarrier normally modulates optical intensity of light which is transmitted via an optical fiber channel An alternative to optical intensity modulation is coherence modulation of light thus promoting multiplexed transmission of several PTM subcarriers over only one optical fiber. In this paper we present the operating principle of coherence multiplexed optical transmission as modulated by an analog video signal using a PWM subcarrier
