Abstract
This paper addresses a number of new aspects of the Integrated Volt/var Optimization application (IVVO) in active distribution networks and discusses the resultant challenges. In particular, the paper discusses the integration of IVVO with demand response, the challenges of load modeling, and the various impacts of distributed energy resources on the operations of IVVO.
