Abstract
As an infrastructure of the semantic Web, a resource description framework, RDF in short, has been recommended for describing metadata on the Web. This work presents a model, which would be helpful when users look for Web resources related to a single class of objects with multiple dimensional attributes. It helps them to figure out the statistical distribution of these objects in a pan-and-zoom approach in a rather smart form in comparison with the first step of a search through a directory of topics. The similarities and differences with related works on object zooming are revised. Ultimately an analogy is made with information retrieval in texts with hierarchical summaries.
