  • Abstract
In this paper, a complicated DC line fault taken place in ±800kV Chu-Sui HVDC transmission system is introduced. During this fault, DC line protection, DC filter differential protection and 82HSNBS protection of another pole acted, and two poles were stopped successively. Based on the theory of HVDC protection and control system and the transient recorders, the processing of the accident is analyzed, and combined with the interrelationship of bipolar DC line as the lightning strike, the characteristics of current transducers of DC filter and the influence of bypass switch closing, the improving suggestions are discussed, and some improving suggestions had put in practice.
