Abstract
The amount of P2P traffic is rising quickly, so that an increasing research focuses on P2P traffic control issues. In this paper, we propose a cooperation strategy called HIC in the aim of controlling cross-ISP traffic without scarifying the system performance. We introduce an incentive mechanism and hidden coordinator of ISP into HIC. The incentive mechanism is used to guide P2P traffic to hidden coordinator and hidden coordinators can control the P2P cross-ISP traffic with some principles. Simulation results confirm that our strategy can greatly reduce the P2P traffic between the ISP and improve P2P system performance.
