Abstract
A ZVS input series output parallel (ISOP) forward converter is proposed in this paper. A novel input-in-series topology with an auxiliary diode helps the transformer to demagnetize naturally and the switches to operate with ZVS. And the voltage stresses on the primary switches are clamped at Vin. The operation principle of proposed converter is analyzed in detail with ZVS conditions given. A 1000 W prototype is built and the experimental results are presented to verify the analysis.
