Abstract :
An approach to the simulation of multimedia communications networks for a tactical air control system (TACS) application is presented. The model used for the multimedia network controller, the associated control algorithms, and the simulated TACS architecture (connectivities and communications systems used) are discussed. Network performance results are presented for the multimedia architecture, and are evaluated in contrast to single media applications to the same TACS scenario
