Abstract
The main goal of this paper is to investigate the operation and design trade-offs of the Nabae converter for the universal operation condition, showing that is possible to reduce line-current distortion with an one-cycle control approach besides regulating the voltage output for variable load. As a consequence of the exploitation of the Nabae converter characteristics, two integrated AC to AC converters are proposed. Simulation and experimental results verify the theoretical studies
