Abstract
The stability of future power networks is getting influenced by the features of sustainable energy sources. Thus, a method of stability indication, which can combine the stochastic behavior of the renewable energy sources and the deterministic way of stability analysis, is of interest. This paper introduces an analytical method of small disturbance angle stability indication in future power systems. By applying this method, the impacts of stochastic characteristics of sustainable energy sources on the concept of angle stability are considered. In this paper, the definition of small disturbance angle stability for future power systems is reviewed and an iterative-stochastic method of analysis for this type of stability is presented. Also, the suggested iterative-stochastic methodology is numerically verified by getting applied to an electric power test system.
