Abstract
In this paper we propose a method to analyse contextual perspectives in information search and retrieval process in the Semantic Web framework. We start with definitions of context in different computer science applications. We discuss our specific purpose of context-aware information representation and then describe utilising the context confidence factor for ranking the relationships. A confidence factor specifies relevancy degree of an entity to a context in a particular domain. We demonstrate how the uncertainty and Bayesian rule are taken in to account to compute the confidence factor for the results of a query. The main goal is providing a context-aware ranking method which defines degree of relevancy between resources in a set of related information to a particular query.
