English Vocabulary E-Learning on Multimedia Environment

The paper studies the computational application of students´ English vocabulary acquisition in multimedia environment. It involves the application of audio, vision, and video information input to learn English vocabulary, together with aid of computer. It gives a brief introduction of current situation of vocabulary learning and teaching in China and abroad, and then introduces vocabulary acquisition with CALL and CALT, together with psychological and multimedia hardware and software foundation for vocabulary learning. The paper deals with the computational application of vocabulary learning, especially the application of corpus database. Last but not least, the paper proposes several suggestions on vocabulary E-learning and teaching.
