Abstract
The mini acupuncture manipulator is developed which can simulate traditional needle therapy. Various physical parameters of acupuncture, which cannot be provided by the traditional needle therapy technique, can be quantitatively studied using this manipulator, such as precise depth, velocity, angle, angular velocity, frequency and interval, etc. By the experiment on the acute hemorrhagic shock model and the comparison with electro-acupuncture and non-therapy, the acupuncture manipulator is testified that it can provide safe, reliable and precise traditional acupuncture experiment, can achieve a similar curative effect with hand acupuncture, and can be applied in the field of acupuncture mechanism research and teaching. This paper also indicates the feasibility of clinic therapy with this acupuncture manipulator.
