Abstract
Architectural design companies (ADCs) are typical knowledge intensive organizations, in which knowledge is the most important resource and wealth. However, little effort has been made to improve the knowledge management (KM) of ADCs. Based on the models of KM and Knowledge-Blog (K-Blog), this study analyzes the knowledge characteristics of ADCs, and find out that obstacles in knowledge transfer in ADCs have seriously affect the companies´ core competitiveness and long-term development. Consequently, this study proposes a comprehensive mechanism which integrates K-Blog into traditional KM model for ADCs. Meanwhile, strategies are given to improve the function of this system.
