  • Abstract
    The electric field (E-field) distribution on transmission line composite insulators is one of the primary factors impacting its long term performance. This panel session paper will present the expected E-field distributions on composite insulators in-service as well as the resulting aging and degradation modes if the E-field exceeds threshold levels.
