Abstract :
The Persistent Scatterer InSAR (PS-InSAR) technology can monitor surface deformations in millimeter accuracy. Using high-resolution radar satellite data, like for example data from TerraSAR-X, subsidence of large buildings and railways can be precisely measured. In this article, we selected two test areas in Shanghai Pudong, to introduce the application of Terra-SAR-X images for large building and linear structure deformation monitoring. Temporal analyses on representative points confirm that high resolution SAR data can be used for subsidence monitoring of large buildings and linear structures.
