Abstract :
The performance of a hybrid CDMA/TDMA system with a total system bandwidth of 20 MHz is evaluated for different multipath models in the 800 MHz band. The system provides for two services (a voice service at 10 kbit/s and a data service at 100 kbit/s) at different bit rates and bit error rates and uses multiple antennas. Two other topics are also introduced and discussed: the entropy of the power spread and the inclusion of signal reliability parameters into the soft decision Viterbi decoding process
