Abstract
Theoretical and experimental investigations of the pulse beam-plasma discharge at the high level of the excited HF-oscillations (oscillation energy of plasma electrons exceeds ionization energy) are carried out. For an electron beam energy of 25 keV, current 25 A and pulse duration 4.5 /spl mu/s, the growth rate is about 10/sup 6/s-1. By regulating the transverse beam energy, the high power excitation of stochastic HF-oscillations at cyclotron frequency (/spl sim/40 kW) and at plasma frequency (/spl sim/120-150 kW with a small correlation time) are observed.
