Abstract
In this paper, based on Fault Tree Analysis (hereafter referred to as FTA), the author adopts the approach of security systems engineering to analyze the public safety incidents of water pollution in Three Gorges Reservoir, and the author also draws the diagrams of Fault Tree Analysis, which visually reveal the logical relationship among the basic events possibly leading to the top events. Through the qualitative analysis of FTA, this paper finds out the minimal cut sets, the minimal path sets and order of the structure importance, and points out the possible ways of preventing the accidents.
