Abstract :
An environmental impact method based on numerical simulation is proposed and the assessment of environmental impact caused by dam-break is gained. According to the dam-break flood simulation results, the routing process of dam-break flood is concluded. Then the environmental risk evaluation model is built based on the obtained hydraulic factors. Qing Linjing reservoir located in Shenzhen of China is taken as a case study. The results show that the reservoir dam-break can only cause little effect to downstream because of good reservoir water quality. The results provide a decision basis for the safe operation of the dam and sustainable development of the ecological environment.
