Abstract :
Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are useful in taking up hazardous tasks involving contaminated or highly poisonous gases arising out of biological agents or radiation due to industrial accidents. Simulation studies are carried out in this paper to map the contours of such contaminated clouds using a UAV, under different conditions. Emphasis is on using a minimalistic configuration for the UAV with considerations for its flight envelope and battery life.
