Abstract :
Taking advantage of transmission line theory to explain the energy coordination process in multi-class SPD. A large scale of tests is carried on to verify the accuracy of this theory. It can obtain that the transmission theory not only apply to the high voltage transmission line, but also the low voltage transmission line. According to the IEC62305, split ratio of SPD1 and SPD2 are 92% and 8% when a decoupling element being used between two classes. The switching mode SPD and voltage limiting type SPD can also achieve energy coordination.
