Abstract :
A bacterial strain (AD4) capable of utiliaing atrazine as a sole nitrogen source for growth was isolated from industrial wastewater by enrichment culture. By Rep-PCR analysis revealed that strain AD4 was different with ADP and TC1, which are the model atrazine-degrading strain. The capable of removing atrazine of AD4 was greater than ADP and TC1. AD4 strain offered a great potential in the bioremediation of polluted environments.
