Abstract :
In the case that motor applied for a hybrid electric vehicle needs high torque density due to it has very limited space to installation. Some method and processes in initial designing traction motor already exists. However, in such special case that has fixed size, a new method is needed. In this paper, an improved analytical method is presented which can provides the effect of rotor size on torque when the stack length is fixed. In the end of paper, a FEA simulation is performed to verify the analytical result.
