Abstract :
The emergence of radio frequency identification (RFID) and web services technology enables the innovation in business and application integration, but it also generates the complexity in the business process. It raises several concerns such as reduced understandability, inflexibility, and increased exceptions leading to processes requiring more time to be developed, tested and maintained. There is a need to develop effective performance models that can serve as a means for comparing alternative processes at the design stage. In this work, we formulate an analytical model based on queuing theory to predict the service duration time within the web services environment. The implementation for this performance model provides the business processing time in spare parts supply chain. The result would aid in the estimation the business process service time of comparing processes.
