Abstract :
Situation awareness, which belongs to the high level information fusion, plays a key role in military decision-making system. The framework of situation awareness is designed in the paper, including event extraction and correlation, force structure recognition and intent inference and prediction. The expert knowledge system for event extraction is constructed and the model of event extraction rule is given. The method of event correlation is described, which can correlate the two events extracted from different type of sensor data. Finally, the simulation system of situation awareness is introduced. An example, an air attack scenario is simulated and the results of event extraction and correlation are analyzed to illustrate the functionality of the proposed approach.
