Abstract :
In accordance with the ink cell structural redundancy of laser gravure image, a method of laser gravure image lossless compression by eliminating the ink cell structural redundancy is presented. At first the background of the ink cell is introduced. The problem of high resolution and high-capacity laser gravure image stored and transmitted is analyzed. Then the compression method is proposed based the characteristic of laser gravure image. The unified description model of four kinds of ink cell was discussed in order to effectively remove the structural redundancy. Experiments show that the proposed method results in reduction of bit rate by 450% compared to using directly universal methods of image lossless compression.
