Abstract
In this paper, an electric vehicle driving inverter is designed and manufactured, and the performance of the inverter is verified through tests. The inverter is composed of a control part which has the function to control the entire invert system by receiving various sensor inputs and torque commands and generate PWM, a power conversion part and a cooling part. The power conversion part is composed of a power semiconductor module, a dc capacitor, an electric current sensor, and a heat dissipation system. In this paper, an inverter to which an IGBT module of fin-pin type which is available of direct cooling is applied was designed and manufactured, and the performance was verified through tests with external load.
