Abstract :
In order to study how small particle affected the scattering of electromagnetic wave, two cases were discussed by Rayleigh scattering. Firstly, supposing that particle was unchanged spherical, we discussed the relationship between particle size and its scattering of electromagnetic wave, and carried out simulation. Simulation results show that the particle differential scattering cross section is dependent on particle radius and the scattering angle. Secondly, considering the shape of a particle to study its electromagnetic scattering, the change in shape can cause the change of incident azimuth. By simulation, we conclude that for the slender ellipsoid, the greater the incident azimuth angle, the greater the scattering cross section is; for a flat ellipsoid, just the opposite. Simulation results provide important parameters for correcting the impact of particle to communication.
