Abstract
Implicit Runge-Kutta methods are applied to the temporal discretization of the time domain integral equations of electromagnetics. The method thus created is absolutely stable independent of time step, and (given an appropriate spatial discretization) higher-order convergent in both space and time. Numerical results will demonstrate the accuracy, efficacy, and stability of the the technique.
