Abstract :
A optical fiber temperature sensor was used to measure the temperature of large power transformer windings. A standard generic network interface was designed for the sensor based on IEEE1451. It offers a lot of interesting features such as plug & play in the network. The CAN bus interface module, as transducer independent interface (TIl) was used to connected transducer interface module (STIM) to a virtual network capable application processor (NACP). It shows the new generation temperature sensor of power transformer windings with an Ethernet link. It can be integrated to modern SCADA system conveniently. The system operations have proven that the network sensor using a generic network arrangement has solved the problems of measurement in high voltage with strong disturbance in site. All its advantages show the promising future of the application.
