Abstract :
The User Interface includes 14 Touch keys, with slider and wheeler operation using self capacitance technology, 24 side fire LEDs with intensity variation enabling Fade IN, Fade OUT effects, Buzzer tone, Voltage regulator power supply circuit and communication module to interface with the control board. The advantage with this UI is that the entire module is less than 10mm thick which includes light guide, graphics sticker, PCB and components. The capacitive touch UI is interfaced with a LabView system used to model a virtual refrigerator that would respond to the commands from the User Interface.
