Abstract
Range parameters of Bi ions implanted into polystyrene in an energy range of 40-360 keV were calculated using standard transport theory. Use of the potential suggested by Wilson, Haggmark and Biersack (WHB) gives good agreement to experimental data in contrast to ZBL potential by Ziegler, Biersack and Littmark. Calculations for Bi, Pb, Cs, Kr ions implanted into C films in an energy range of 10 to 300 keV show that the WHB potential considerably better describes experimental data in comparison to the ZBL potential
