Abstract
A compact integrated Bluetooth and ultrawideband (UWB) coplanar waveguide-fed antenna is presented and discussed. The proposed antenna design exhibits wide coverage of Bluetooth (2.4-2.484 GHz) and UWB (3.1-10.6 GHz) frequency band, both successfully giving optimum performance and above all small size. It has been designed very compact (26 × 20 mm2) retaining all the standard parameters like return losses, gain and efficiency to the acceptable level with stable omnidirectional radiation patterns across the integrated Bluetooth and UWB bands. The integrated dual frequency band characteristics of antenna are achieved by creating quarter-wavelength C-shaped Bluetooth element near the radiating plane. Full wave analysis of the proposed antenna in frequency domain and optimize design is obtain by using the commercial simulation tool ANSOFT HFSS_v12.1 which is based on finite element analysis.
