Abstract :
The singular integral equation (SIE) method has been proved to be the most efficient and powerful method for the analysis of planar transmission lines. A simplified treatment of the additionally imposed boundary conditions in the SIE method is presented. It removes most of the cumbersome analytical work related to the evaluation of various integrals in the traditional SIE formulation but preserve its fast convergence property. Numerical results show the validity and high efficiency of the present new treatment. We take microstrip lines as example to show the analytical treatment.
