Abstract
It is known to all that potential global climate change has a great deal to do with anthropogenic emissions of CO2. The carbon dioxide emissions from the exhaust gases of the fossil fuel-fired power plants account for about a third of global CO2 emissions and are increasing in the last decades. At this context, this work presents a survey on the carbon dioxide capture technologies from the power plants flue gases. Oxy fuel-combustion, post and pre-combustion technologies are described. Transport and sequestration methods are also covered..
