Abstract :
The transverse magnetic (TM) wave diffraction by a pair of multiply-nested dielectric cylinders is considered. The components of the electric and magnetic field intensities tangent to interior surfaces of multiply-nested dielectric cylinders are calculated by means of a fast backward recursion algorithm based on an equivalent surface representation. The numerical efficiency of the proposed method is demonstrated by comparison with the direct simultaneous solution of all unknowns by the EFIE method.
