Abstract :
The actualization of the manufacturing grid (MGrid) needs the supporting of manufacturing resources information model (MRIM) and its application systems. The manufacturing resources information (MRI) in MGrid, which is established upon heterogeneous systems environment, is dynamic and unstructured, and the content of it is various. But the MRIM established with the traditional information modeling method is unable to ideally describe the MRI, and can´t support the resources information transporting very well in MGrid. Hence, a new method of modeling of MRI in MGrid based on XML was put forward. Firstly, establish the manufacturing resources conceptual model (MRCM) by abstracting the correlative conceptions and characters of the manufacturing resource in MGrid. Secondly, establish corresponding oriented-object LML model of manufacturing resources information according to MRCM and corresponding mapping mechanism from MRCM to LML. Thirdly, establish the uniform manufacturing grid resource information´ XML Schema which is suitable for Internet sharing and interactive by researching and setting down mapping mechanism from LML datum to XML Schema. At last, establish XML information model used to MRI in MGrid according to the established XML Schema. The represented method of manufacturing modeling breaks down the traditional manufacturing resources modeling´ limitation that the majority is an integral framework in content, it is partial for the description of the manufacturing resources lack of concrete description and research about resources´ data model and resources´ processing capability. The result of experimentation proves that the established MRIM can support the datum exchanging and sharing among heterogeneous systems under the internet environments very well.
