Abstract :
Dispersed networked manufacturing is a kind of manufacturing mode to achieve the goal of agile manufacturing and sustainable development. By dividing the product´s whole manufacturing cycle into several relatively dependent modules and by way of information transferring technology, the dispersed networked manufacturing mode makes full use of distributed resources. By doing so, a virtual venture with no constraint of space could be setup rapidly, and products of high quality and low cost could be manufactured quickly. Dispersed networked manufacturing modes integrate human resources, machine tools and the engineer´s experiences of different enterprises onto one platform validly, which is specially suitable for the middle and small sized manufacturing enterprises of China. A case study is presented, in which a real mechanical product is manufactured in light of this manufacturing mode.
