Abstract
As far as librarians in colleges and universities are concerned, it is significant for them to improve their abilities to provide multilingual information service, which can better meet the increasingly high academic information needs of college students and other researchers. This paper discusses how to improve the capability of multilingual information service for college librarians. Firstly, the training about academic hot spots, computer skills, service skills, and the collaborative skills is introduced. Secondly, training about the key technologies is discussed. Then, a training mechanism for librarians is discussed. Finally, it concludes that as long as the librarians and the library make efforts at the same time, the ability of college librarians to provide multilingual information service can be improved.
