Abstract :
To cope with increasing demand for mobile telephone services operating companies are using cell split methods to increase system capacity. At the microcell sizes the co-channel interference is placing a limit on that strategy. This work studies the reallocation of radio base station antennas in order to limit the microcell coverage and reduce co-channel interference. The results have shown that antennas positioned a little lower than the average building heights produce better coverage results without the inconvenience of placing the antenna above the building heights
