Abstract :
The main goal for the SMART highway application is to create a WAVE wireless communication between vehicle and roadside infrastructure. SMART highway and ITS project include implementation of technology components, to develop a vehicle multichannel antenna. This terminal will be installed in a vehicle, and in this paper we report on the development of the vehicle Antenna Unit. The antenna unit contains 2 individual antennas, including WAVE antennas. The WAVE antenna is a broadband printed antenna designed and optimized within the SMART highway project. The vehicle Antenna Unit will be used for the SMART highway field trials.
