Abstract
This paper reports a study that aims to construct a handheld augmented reality supported ubiquitous learning system, called HELLO (Handheld English Language Learning Organization), to enhance students´ English learning. The HELLO integrates the sensor, augmented reality, ubiquitous computing and information technologies, and consists of two subsystems: an English learning management system and learning tools. A case study of English learning was conducted in junior high school. The evaluation result reveals that the proposed system can improve learning.
