Abstract
This paper demonstrates an improved four cascaded single stage distributed amplifier, which operates over the frequency range from DC to 20 GHz. Simulation results show that the proposed circuit offers superior baseband performance over the existing cascaded single stage distributed amplifier topology. In addition, it provides 10 dB higher gain than the conventional distributed amplifier using the same amount of active devices.
