Experimental teaching reform is an important part of university teaching reform and quality engineering, which is also one key tache of improving the quality of teaching. The importance, meaning, extension, connotation and teaching roles of innovative experiment teaching are analyzed in this article. Its general implement method and concrete steps are elaborated. The function of innovative experiment teaching is mainly to train a student of self-educated and the ability to discover a problem, science thinking ability, creative thinking ability and solidify cooperation spirit. Setting up and carrying out innovative experiment teaching is one of important method to develop a creative type talented person in the new century, and that is the inevitable request which practices a reform in education.
