Abstract :
It has been demonstrated that the features of a diamond voltage controlled SAW oscillator (VCSO) include a high frequency range of 2 to 4 GHz, compact size, low power consumption, low phase noise, and narrow temperature characteristics. A GHz phase lock loop (PLL) module that uses a diamond-VCSO has been successfully developed. This PLL module has low phase noise and temperature characteristics that are quite good. These characteristics are very useful for high bit rate communication systems, such as optical and wireless systems
