Abstract
In this paper, the ground wave propagation above a one-dimensional rough sea homogeneous surface is investigated by considering a flat earth and the frequency band 10-100 MHz. From the efficient rigorous BMIA-CAG method, based on the Method of Moments, the scattered field by a smooth surface is compared with an analytical asymptotic approach, obtained from the well-known Sommerfled intergal, and re-examined recently in the paper of Collin (IEEE Trans. Prop. Mag., no. 2, 2004). In addition, this formulation is extended to a rough sea surface and validated by using the BMIA-CAG.
